Jeffrey W. FERGUSON
Managing Director & General Counsel, Carlyle
Jeffrey W. Ferguson is a Managing Director and General Counsel of Carlyle, which he joined in 1999. He serves as the head of the firm’s legal and compliance functions. He is also a member of the firm’s Operating Committee. Mr. Ferguson started his career as an associate in the tax departments of two law firms, Vinson & Elkins and Latham & Watkins. In both law firms, The Carlyle Group was Mr. Ferguson’s primary client. He has extensive experience in the areas of public company governance, crisis management, global private equity fund formation and operations, asset management regulation, domestic and international litigation and global taxation. Mr. Ferguson received a J.D. from University of Virginia School of Law where he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and a B.A. from University of Virginia. He is a Member of the bars of the District of Columbia and Virginia.

Mildred Perez
Chief Program Officer, Nazareth Housing
Mildred Perez joined Nazareth Housing in 2006 as a case manager supporting families experiencing homelessness and has since risen through the organization’s leadership ranks. She now serves as Chief Program Officer, overseeing the expansion and strengthening of core programs. Under her leadership, Nazareth Housing has significantly increased food pantry capacity, enhanced homelessness prevention services, and opened St. Anselm, an affordable housing development serving formerly homeless families.
Mildred is known for her strategic leadership, commitment to program excellence, and dedication to a holistic approach that supports long-term stability for children and families. She holds a B.A. from the City College of New York and an M.S. in Psychology (Applied Behavior Analysis), and is bilingual in Spanish and English.
